lostimagining asked:

I want to get my boyfriend some new shoes for when he is working on his pottery. Want to find something comfortable to wear but very durable that can withstand water and clay. Don’t know if I should get tennis shoes or boots? Any fellow potters got advice?

Definitely not sandals, especially if he uses a manual pottery wheel. Tennis shoes are probably the perfect thing, since you want a closed toe shoe that won’t easily come off. The boots will probably be too heavy, and he won’t be able to react as fast as he might need to if he’s on the pottery wheel. If you feel like spending the extra money, you might get a non slip shoe. Especially if he uses lots of water, and/or is slightly messy.
    Good luck!
