ok so i am 13 and am going to entering this art thing at my local fair. the problem is there are 2 catorgories for ceramics and pottery but if have always thought they were the same thing. can u plz explain the differences so i can understand. can u also give me examples of what types of things go in each catagory in case im still confused thank u

    I think in this case “pottery” refers to something that is actually functional, like a clay bowl, plate, cup or vase. “Ceramics” refers to something that is probably more sculptural but is still made out of clay, like a bas relief carving, or a statue.
