pounce asked:

I want to make a set of dishes by pushing red and white pieces of clay into old plates to make the plates and like a big salad bowl by doing the same thing. But, I’m scard that they will get stuck in the molds! What can I put on the mold for the clay will come off easily?

And, what would happen if I fired something with vasiline on it?

The clay to stiffen before removing the clay in the clay if the plastic clings too much let the plastic clings too much let the clay if the plastic wrap in item that pushed clay to dry little more.

1 the vasiline will burn off with the heat , be sure that
the room is well ventelated. and the smoke alarm wont go off.
    2. put strips of news paper over the plastic plate then roll out the clay ,trim amd let dry to leather hard ### not fully dry #### then tidy edges and fire to bisque, then paint, glaze then re fire to temp on your packet[ all clays have a set firing temp to bring it to its best] then it is finished
