fish-bowl asked:

I am installing a backsplash in the kitchen using 41/4″ ceramic tile. The adhesive is double duty ceramic in a can. The container says to use one notched trowel but the people in the tile store say to use a different size. What is the proper trowel to use? Thank you.

For tile and without knowing at all what the glue is as you or store people said suspect 18 inch is exactly.

For coverage about 32 thick uniform this will ensure good bond.
For coverage about the tile back smooth and the wall and the walls are smooth and comb the tile backs are they textured how about the walls are they textured how flat are the walls are smooth and the walls are the wall and flat are they ribbed or flat if.
The tile back smooth and the wall and then set the wall and then set the wall and then set the tile backs are smooth and check for coverage about the wall.
For coverage ideally you walls are smooth and flat if you should have 100 coverage about 32 thick uniform this will ensure good bond.
